IT Project Manager for the Progress OpenEdge Unit (maternity cover)

We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the Progress OpenEdge Unit and take end-to-end ownership of service delivery and project execution, ensuring consistent delivery quality, operational excellence, and client satisfaction across our portfolio.

Our unit specializes in development, outsourcing, and support services, offering innovative solutions to enhance and modernize outdated technology systems.

This role is a maternity cover for a 1.5–2-year contract, with a start date in July 2026.

What you will do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on service and project-related communication, ensuring clear alignment and timely escalation of issues when needed.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across projects and services, ensuring alignment between teams, stakeholders, and ongoing priorities.
  • Maintain consolidated visibility across projects and services by collecting, structuring, and sharing status updates from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and motivate project teams.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors within the scope of ongoing services and projects, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, expectations, and progress.
  • Support financial and operational tracking activities, including preparing and consolidating data related to project performance and client invoicing.
  • Manage stakeholder communication at multiple levels, ensuring transparency, consistency, and timely updates.
  • Identify and track risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring they are clearly communicated and escalated to appropriate owners when required.

What we expect from you

  • Proven experience in project coordination, service delivery support, or PM/PMO-type roles within IT or software development environments.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently, structure tasks, and follow through on commitments.
  • Experience working in multi-regional and cross-functional environments across different countries and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, IT project management methodologies, and delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Lithuanian (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, risks, or gaps in information.
  • Proactive, reliable, and structured working style with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with reporting tools, spreadsheets, and project tracking systems.
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic environments and manage multiple parallel priorities effectively.
