What you will do

During the 2.5-month academy you will:

  • Receive comprehensive training and support to familiarize yourself with our team, development processes, and the Progress OpenEdge ecosystem.
  • Learn the fundamentals of the Progress OpenEdge platform, including programming, database administration, application servers, and other core components.
  • Work together with fellow academy participants on a group project, from idea generation to implementation, gaining hands-on experience of how IT teams collaborate in real-life projects.
  • Learn the fundamentals of Quality Assurance (QA) and Business Analysis, providing a strong foundation for a career in IT.
  • Develop practical skills in programming, design patterns, automated testing, CI/CD, system design, teamwork, and other essential software engineering practices. 

What we expect from you

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java, .NET, or any other language of your choice.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming would be a plus.
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts, including code structure and system design.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and software development practices.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English (at least B2 level).
  • Availability to attend academy sessions on-site, 5 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
